HAF Rehabilitation Grant Critical Home Repairs​

Summary

The HAF Rehabilitation Grant Critical Home Repairs program is a Maryland state-funded grant program that assists low-to-moderate-income homeowners with critical repairs to their homes, such as repairing or replacing roofs, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC systems. Eligibility Requirements

  • The applicant(s) must own and occupy the property to be repaired.
    The applicant's property must be located in a participating jurisdiction.
  • The applicant's household income must be at or below 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
  • The repairs must address a code violation, threat to health and safety, or accessibility need.
  • The repairs must not exceed $40,000.
  • The applicant(s) must be current on property taxes and have no outstanding liens.
  • The applicant(s) must have homeowner's insurance or agree to obtain it before closing.
  • The applicant(s) must meet any additional requirements of the participating jurisdiction.
