The Neighborhood Housing Services of Baltimore offers the Greater Mondawmin and Coppin Heights Incentive, which is a deferred loan of $10,000 to encourage prospective homebuyers to consider purchasing properties in the Greater Mondawmin and Coppin Heights areas. This program provides down payment assistance to moderate-to-low income buyers in these neighborhoods. Moreover, eligible homes in these areas may qualify for an additional $5,000 in down payment assistance through Project Reinvest.

Eligibility Requirements

• The property must be located in Greater Mondawmin or Coppin Heights
• The property must be the homebuyer’s primary residence 
• Total household income cannot exceed 100% of the Area Median Income (AMI)
• The homebuyer must earn a homeownership counseling certificate before settling on the home
• The homebuyer must use an approved lender
• The property cannot have more than four residential units
